Old Nick Village - Arts & Crafts Centre in Plettenberg Bay, Garden Route, South Africa
Originally home to a trading store and housed in a 19th century Cape settlement, Old Nick Village is a landmark destination to visit while in Plettenberg Bay. So much more than a shopping centre, Old Nick Village is truly a sensory experience for the whole family as well as the discerning shopper.
Nestled amongst lush and established indigenous gardens, the shops and galleries boast an incredible variety of highly curated and unique wares.
Old Nick Village offers something to delight and engage young and old alike. Children can play on the lawns, run free in the magical gardens or enjoy the climbing sculpture.
Expect the unexpected – a lazy afternoon on the lawns, a tour of the Mungo textile mill, a special exhibition, lunch under the trees or an encounter with resident birds or the occasional Vervet monkeys.
Disabled facilities are available and the restaurant and many of the shops are wheelchair friendly.
On Wednesdays, you will find the Old Nick Market in full swing. Here you will find homegrown fruit and vegetables, ethically farmed meat and dairy, many local, natural and homemade products, delicious treats and a wonderful display of a variety of crafts.
